Four months ago, today, Gary and I walked into a small hot and humid room at the Civil Affairs Office in Changsha, Hunan and met our beautiful baby girl, Kaelin Bing Wen! It is so hard to believe that it has already been four months since that miraculous day took place! What's even more amazing is that it feels as if she has always been a part of our family! We just could not even begin to imagine our life without this precious little angel! She is truly the joy of our family's life! It is so incredible how much she has changed since that unforgettable day! Our little Miss Kaelin Bing Wen is walking and babbling up a storm! Her favorite thing right now is climbing! She loves to climb the stairs, furniture, and her little reading bench! Our little acrobat is fearless! I am trying to teach her how to go back down the stairs once she is up, but she insists on going down like a grown up and I keep trying to show her to go down on her tummy! She also looooooooves to go outside, no matter how cold or snowy it is! She loves being pulled in her sled that Santa brought her for Christmas! Another favorite activity she enjoys is "playing" the piano, she just loves banging away and actually prefers the higher notes! One more favorite is bath time! She just loves the water and doesn't even mind when it gets in her eyes! I think teaching her how to swim will be a breeze! Her very least favorite thing is bed time! Although, as I am typing this she is peacefully sleeping next to me in our bed, getting her down for the night is not for the faint of heart! Wow, can this little girl battle sleep! Even though she is still waking up one or two times in the night she is way better than a couple of months ago! At least I am no longer a walking zombie in the daytime! Here are some more pics of our Li'l Empress!

our little snow angel!
We got 14 inches of snow today! Our little southern China girl wasn't quite sure what to think of all this white stuff! She was used to sunshine and palm trees where she used to live so this is a big change for her! We only stayed out for a few minutes because it was too cold and the sun wasn't shining! She really enjoyed her warm bottle of milk after her romp in the snow!

breakfast!
Bing Bing is going thruough a phase where she won't let me feed her and refuses to wear a bib! So this morning I decided to throw caution to the wind and let her do it herself! Although you can't tell from the disastrous mess, she did manage to get some bites in her tummy! Mealtime has never been more fun! I can't wait to see what she does with the spaghetti we are having tonight!

better late than never! birthday pics from Bing's 2nd 1st birthday party last weekend!
The pics are going in the opposite order of how I wanted them to and there is no time to fix so start at the bottom and go up! Bing wasn't quite sure what to think of everything! She was very leary of the giant cupcake and everyone singing to her! After about 5 minutes she had had enough! I have a feeling that Bing will appreciate her birthdays more and more as she gets older!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY BING!
Our sweet girl is 1 year old today! I can't believe it! Time is just flying by since we brought our precious Kaelin Bing Wen home from China! She is doing so many new things! She now has 6 teeth and is saying mama and dada and waving hello and bye-bye! She is also climbing the stairs and getting into all sorts of mischief! The dog's water bowl is still her favorite! She also loves electronic devices, cell phones, tv zappers, and cordless phones! She has toy ones but they don't fool her for one minute, no sirreee! Bing wants the real thing! To celebrate mommy and daddy and her 3 big brothers are taking the birthday girl out to a Chinese restaurant and then having a Winnie the Pooh birthday after! Bing just loves Winnie the Pooh! We are going to have another party for her the Sat after Thanksgiving so that her big sisters, Marie, and Sarah can celebrate Bing's bday too! You can never have too much birthday! I will post more pics tonight!

my little snuggle bunny!
Bing Bing loves to be outside! It does not matter what the weather is, we have to go out everyday! I just had to post this pic because it is way too cute! She fell asleep in her stroller on our walk today, heck who wouldn't it looks so darn comfy! I wish she would fall asleep in her crib like this! Dream on! ha ha!
