pool pics...

Finally! Our pool is officially open for the season! Bingy loves it! She hated it last summer, but now she is singing a different tune! Since the pool is only 63 degrees (ah the glory of having a pool in MI!)we heated the hot tub to 90 and played in that last night! Bingy was so warn out from playing in the pool she passed out at 9pm, the earliest she has been to bed in months! Take a look at the last pic I posted, poor thing was ready to collapse before she was even out of the water! I think we will be going for a swim in the evening more often!:)

favorite thing, for now anyway...

Playing with the hose! I love to see Bingy enjoying herself, and lately, this is all she wants to do when we go outside! I am constantly changing her, and me, out of wet clothes! I don't mind, though! Bingy is such an amazing joy and so funny (she makes us laugh a hundred times a day), sometimes I still can't believe that I am her mommy! :)

i think i have something stuck to the bottom of my foot...

you know how it is, right?...

I don't know how just having one two-year old and not having a job (well not the paying kind anyway!)keeps me so busy and out of touch! Also, my computer has been really acting up lately, so I am looking around for deals on a new one, but still just can't seem to actually go out and buy it!

Gary got back from Shanghai a couple of weeks ago from a business trip and I was so disappointed that he couldn't find more cute clothes and squeaky shoes for Bingy! That is because everything was for boys! He said he searched high and low and there was absolutely nothing girlie! If you think about it it makes sense, right? When we were in Guangzhou everything was geared mostly for girls, being that it is where everyone ends up when adopting a baby girl from China! It's just so sad that one of the biggest cities in the world seems to be so focused on boys and not girls. Although he did say he saw tons of girls in Shanghai! He even said he saw little bitty girls Bingy's age hanging on the back of mopeds for dear life, no helmet, no nothing! China is certainly a different world than what we are used too, that's for sure!

I had a really nice layed back Mother's day filled with gifts, flowers, and blueberry pancakes! Okay, How stupid is this? We all had such a relaxed day, no one even thought to get a camera out and take a picture! Since I am always the designated photographer, I guess I am the one to blame! Oh well, one day is really no different than the next so no harm done, I guess! I'll just share some random pics of Bingy anyway!

this stuff ain't so bad afterall...

I guess you could say Bingy is over her dislike for the feel of sand! At first she wanted nothing even to do with touching it let alone getting in! Look at her now, she is like'n this stuff now! It is kind of a pain though, because every time she plays in her sandbox she wants to take off her pants, socks and shoes! The day I took this pic it was unseasonably warm, we have even had a little bit of snow since I took it! She still insists on stripping to get in! Arg! I also included some pics of her enjoying her water table! Funny story about her water table: Last week we got home from a walk and Bingy wanted to play in her water table on the front porch. Only when we came around front, the water table was gone! I had to take a double take and then said, "what the...(earmuffs Bingy!)!!" I looked all over thinking some how the wind had carried it off, but that made no sense since it was full of water only the day before! Then I spotted a note on my door and I knew immediately what happened! I totally forgot that I promised I would set some stuff out to donate for the Purple Heart! They, evidently, thought the water table was the donation, water and toys included! BTW, whenever the PH calls they always tell you to put a sign on the items you want donated clearly labled "Purple Heart"! So, how stupid, right? I mean what dimwit would take a toddlers water table filled with water and toys? I immediately called them and told them about their blunder, and you won't believe the response I got! "Was it on your front porch? Well, then that is why they took it!" I demanded that they bring it back, but the girl on the other end (I could just see her shrugging her shoulders!) said it might not be possible because that truck was already in Detroit being unloaded! Honestly, the truth of the matter is, I really didn't care that much about the table it was the stacking cups that were in it that I really wanted back! I had bought them about a year into our wait and they were one the toys that Bingy first played with in China! If they had not been in it, I would have said, fine no biggy considered it a donation and bought another water table off Amazon for 30 bucks! But I wanted my stacking cups back! So I pleaded with the girl to at least find those and give them back, I would even pay the postage! She said she couldn't promise anything! I was heartsick! I know it sounds nuts to be so sentimental over something so trivial, but you understand, right? Well, low and behold the next morning there, on our front porch, appeared Bingy's water table and beloved stacking cups all neatly nestled and taped together! Oops did I say stupid? I take it all back! Purple Heart deserves a round of applause! Now, when they call for a donation, I know not to forget and NOT to have any of Bingy's toys on the front porch when they come a call'in!
