wedding pics...

My niece, Elise, and her new husband, Grant, had their wedding last weekend and Bingy had a blast! She thought my niece was a princess (she looked gorgeous enough to be one!) and we were all invited to her princess party! Bingy danced all night until she passed out on my shoulder about 9pm! We all had a fabulous time and I was so happy to finally get an updated family pic!

more 2nd anniv. gotcha day pics...

Bingy had a wonderful Gotcha Day! Even though it was only her big brother Adam, Gary, and I home to celebrate, she loved it! We started out the day by making Dora cupcakes, first Bingy requested cupcakes with purple frosting, but then saw a thing on Nick Jr. on how to make Dora cupcakes, so we did! We didn't follow their intructions exactly, but they turned out cute just the same! Even though they looked a little like a cross between Dora and a sock monkey Bingy had so much fun making them! She is becoming quite the little pastry chef! I made my famous Asian pork roast and rice for dinner! Now, before you go and give me tons of credit, I must confess that all it is is a roast with Hoisen sauce dumped all over it a bag of baby carrots then braised in the oven! Bingy loved her gifts, too! She got a book of her Gotcha Day I made on Shutterfly, a doll we bought in Guangzhou and some crayons we bought in Changsha! She also got the Tinkerbell DVD and some Tinkerbell jammies! All in all it was a great Gotcha Day! These past two years have been nothing short of incredible, exhausting, amazing, and fun fun fun! Still can't believe she is ours!

me and my sister Rie!
big book!
view from Rie's apt!
Bingy and I went to Chicago to visit Marie and Sarah last week and had a blast! We took the train and Bingy loved it for the most part but we both got a little fidgety! Getting there took 6.5 hrs, but Amtrak turned coming home into an 8 hr ordeal! OIY! I am not sure we will take the train again, but we had fun and hope to go back soon! I will post more pics later!

summer is zooming by....

I love this pic!

swimming with bb Adam

I can't believe how fast the summer is just slipping away! The thought of another bleak cold winter just makes me want to cry! We love our fun hot summer days filled with swimming, popsicles, and sidewalk chalk! It has been amazing just watching our sweet little Bingy enjoying it all so much! She has grown up so much this summer! It is amazing to see how much she has changed since last year. She is able to say her abcs(even though the middle comes out kind of garbled!), count to 10, identify colors and shapes, and carry on endless conversations with anyone who will listen! She is now wearing a size 2-3T! And most of all Bingy is about 95% potty trained! She still has some accidents, always saying "tawy mommy" when she does, it's so cute! While I am sad to see her baby fat melt away and bid farewell to diapers it is so amazing to see the beautiful little girl that she is emerging into! I don't think there will ever be a day where I won't have to pinch myself that she is really my daughter! Our family is just so beyond blessed to have our beautiful Kaelin Bing Wen!
